This was a big project! We started out by dividing the products into groupings that worked well together in order to create a flow through the catalog and a table of contents. After I created a layout that could house everything, I begin adding in the photos, carefully resizing everything to be cohesive and consistent throughout. We added in the names, weight (for size reference and shipping information), and minimum order number for each product.

On the very first page there’s a clear statement of what’s in the catalog “Handmade + natural beeswax products crafted with love at Mellowstone Farm” and contact information. This fills the viewer in on what to expect without bogging them down with all the nitty gritty details right off the bat. In the back after all of the beautiful products, there’s a section about Taylor and The Charmer Bee Co and a FAQ page all about wholesale. This order is super important! It lets the retailer dream of the products and gives them space to fall in love before reminding them that it costs money and they’ll have to deal with shipping, find space in their store, communicate with the seller, etc.

The very last page is intentionally left blank so that order forms and pricing sheets could be stapled in. Prices can fluctuate and we didn’t want to reprint the entire catalog every time that happened. The branding is there of course, but it was intentionally used sparingly because we want the retail store owners to be able to easily envision these products within their own space.
